It has been announced that DIR EN GREY vocalist Kyo has recently been diagnosed with vocal cord nodules.
According to his DIR EN GREY’s agency, Kyo needs surgery for vocal cords polyps that have worsened and will consult a doctor for further examination. Vocal nodules can be caused by voice exhaustion and are usually healed with proper rest and sometimes surgery.
DIR EN GREY was scheduled to be one of the supporting groups for English band Asking Alexandria’s “The Still Reckless” North American tour, with DIR EN GREY headlining shows in Seattle and Florida. DIRU has since pulled out of the line up.
It is unknown if DIR EN GREY will be able to participate in the tour.
