LUNA SEA Gives Details on New Single

Previously JpopAsia reported that rock band LUNA SEA would be releasing their first maxi single in over eleven years. Now, the details on this highly anticipated release have been revealed.

LUNA SEA’s new single is titled “THE ONE -crash to create-“ and is set to be released March 21st.

From planning the composition, to the final arrangement, all five members of LUNA SEA took part in developing this single. One track is even said to be over 22 minutes long. The single will be available in 4 types: Analog Deluxe Edition, SACD-Hybrid Edition (5.1ch Surround), HQCD Edition, and Regular Edition.

To commemorate the release, on March 8th LUNA SEA will be hold a listening event titled FULL MOON CONTACT ‘THE ONE’ at United Cinema Toyosu. Thirty lucky fans will have the chance to get a first listen of the single. More details are available on LUNA SEA’s official website.

Furthermore, the listening event will broadcast live on Ustream and Nico Nico Douga.

LUNA SEA to Release First New Song in Almost 12 Years

Yesterday the news spread all over the online communities, when the official LUNA SEA twitter announced the release of a new song, which would be their first original single release in almost 12 years.

The contents of the single are yet to be announced, however it seems that the titles track will be a lengthy work, surpassing 20 minutes play-time overall. Apparently there will be four different versions of the CD, including a "normal CD", a "high quality CD" and more.

"This is our answer to passing 12 years. This is the complete sound of our soul. May it resound in this world." Were the words with which the announcement had been made.

Live DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray from LUNA SEA

Legendary rock band LUNA SEA will release new DVD, Blu-ray and 3D Blu-Ray on February 22nd.

Titled LUNA SEA IN LOS ANGELES and LUNA SEA 3D IN LOS ANGELES, the releases will contain the concert LUNA SEA 20th ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR REBOOT -to the New Moon-. This concert was held on December 4th 2010 in Los Angeles and was shown in sixty-four Japanese theaters in June 2011. A double-CD version of the concert was also released in June.

The three editions will also contain documentary footage and member interviews. First press editions will include a sticker replica of the WORLD TOUR REBOOT staff pass.
