MIYAVI to Release New Album and Photobook

Last July 21st, samurai guitarist MIYAVI announced during his premium live at Tokyo's Kinema Club that he will be releasing a new album and photobook this fall.

The said album will be a compilation of the "SAMURAI SESSION WORLD SERIES" project. It will also feature MIYAVI's collaboration with fellow artists like KREVA and YUKSEK. Both artists have previously collaborated with MIYAVI, KREVA with "STRONG" and YUKSEK with "DAY 1".

Furthermore, it was also announced that MIYAVI will be photographed by Keiichi Nitta for "SAMURAI PHOTO SESSION". The photos will be released via Gekkan Men as a photobook.

No released date for album and photobook has been released yet. Stay tuned in JPA for more updates.

New Release from MIYAVI

Singer and guitarist MIYAVI has announced a new release for July 11th.

Tentatively titled SAMURAI SESSION WORLD SERIES vol.2 - MIYAVI vs YUKSEK, the release will feature French musician, producer and DJ YUKSEK. It will also feature the song DAY 1, which is being used in the advertising campaign for the bubble gum SNOW STORM ZEUS. Further information is expected closer to its release date.

MIYAVI to Perform at Main Square Festival in France

MIYAVI is returning to France in June, this time performing at the Main Square Festival in Arras.

At Main Square Festival, one of the largest French music festival of the summer, MIYAVI will be performing alongside other well-known acts like Florence + The Machine, Blink-182, and The All-American Rejects. Main Square marks MIYAVI's first time performing in France since his "WHAT'S MY NAME" tour last March.

The festival will take place over the weekend of June 29th to July 1st, with Miyavi performing on June 30th. Visit Main Square Festival’s website for tickets and more information.

MIYAVI's Song "STRONG" for X-TRAIL Commercial Announced

Japanese car maker Nissan has chosen MIYAVI's track "STRONG" as the next song for their "Nissan X-TRAIN" commercial, as it has been revealed recently.

Until now artists like THE CLASH, THE OFFSAPRING and THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS had contributed their songs to the commercial. MIYAVI's track "STRONG" had been created for his project of featuring numerous artists in his work together with KREVA. However, the version used for the commercial is the "MYV 'Exclusive' ver.", which had been on the record as a coupling track.
